Monday, May 10th, 2010

Green tea has long been used by the Chinese for its many health benefits. Recently studies have confirmed that green tea is indeed an excellent ingreient and supplement.   The evidence suggests that green tea is good for the body in a variety of applications.

When green tea is taken as a supplement it has been shown to boost the immune system and help fight against disease.  Some studies have also shown that it promotes good oral health.  It is full of healthy antioxidants, and is believed to helps with the aging process and promote healthy beautiful skin.

One of the main things that attracts people to green tea is the promise of weight loss.  It has been shown in some studies to increase metabolism and provide a boost in energy.  It may even be able to aid in blocking fat absorption.  Green tea is a good addition to any diet.  However, it will not make you loose a lot of weight all by itself.  Using it to replace unhealthy drinks, like soda, is a great idea.   Green tea along with a healthy diet and exercise can provide needed weight loss.

Green tea can be drank or taken in pill form.  Many people like to drink green tea hot, but it is just as benefial cold.  Many people actually find this light tea to be refreshing over ice.  There are many varieties available.  Green tea is also included in many diet pills and supplements.

Beautifying Skin Creams

collagen-skin-pictureThere are so many skin care creams and lotions on the market.  It can be a daunting task to choose the best one for you.  You may be tempting to just pick the one with the prettiest packaging.  Many skin creams unfortunately contain chemical ingredients that can irritate and break skin out.  It is more important to look for creams with natural  ingredients that have proven results.

Chemicals are harsh and irritating on the skin.  Most synthetic ingredients do not work as well for skincare.  A lot skin creams, and other personal care products are labeled organic yet they still have synthetic ingredients.  You have to read your labels carefully.   You do not want to use alcohols, petroleum or other chemical additives on your face.  These substances will clog pores and dry the skin.  If you start reading labels closely you may be shocked at how many creams contain theses and other chemical ingredients.

It is important to moisturize you’re the skin properly.  Each day your face is exposed to sun and other elements that take away moisture.  This moisture needs to be replaced daily.  This is true for men as well as women.  Moisturizing the face properly will help reduce wrinkles and make skin look plump and more youthful.

There are five main types of skin complexions: dry, oily, normal, combination and sensitive.  You probably know that dry skin needs to be moisturized, but the other four types need extra moisture as well.  Even oily skin needs moisturizer to balance the sebum production.  So look for a moisturizer that is formulated with your skin type in mind.  It should be made with natural ingredients.  A good skin care company will be able to provide evidence and research on its product ingredients.  Do your homework, and you will be able to find a skin cream to moisturize, replenish, and restore the face.

Remember to cater to your skin type! Different creams can use different herbal extracts to make sure that the very basic problem is solved such as dry skin, lack of moisutre, oily skin, weak collagen production resulting in aging, skin spots and more.
